Spelunky 2’s Release Is Closer Than Expected

Today’s State of Play from PlayStation gave us a new look at Spelunky, highlighting some of the variety of new experiences that fans can expect from the game. But the biggest takeaway is the announcement of a September 15 release date on PS4, so players won’t have long to wait to play the long-awaited game for themselves.

Mossmouth also showed off the addition of online multiplayer for the title, along with new characters, the ability to ride turkeys, additional new hidden passageways and branching paths in the caves, and more.
