HoYoverse sues 37 Interactive Entertainment for copyright infringement
HoYoverse has reportedly filed an infringement against 37 Interactive Entertainment for unauthorized use of the image of “Cangxuan”, a character in Honka Impact 3rd. The whole issue revolves around the subsidiary’s infringement of HoYoverse’s mobile game Honkai Impact 3rd.
This is not the first time 37 Interactive Entertainment is found guiltyPrior to this whole issue, Guangzhou HuoShanHu Information Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary company of 37 Interactive entertainment also compensated for a proven incident of plagiarizing with a sum of 30,000 RMB ( ~ $4,400)
This time around it is the parent company 37 Interactive Entertainment against which the lawsuit has reportedly been registered by HoYoverse. The heart of the matter is the image used by 37 Interactive Entertainment which is a character in Honka Impact 3rd.
According to the documents, in this case, the infringement claimed by HoYoverse is that the advertisement jointly released by Sanqi Company, Huohuang Shenghuo Company, and Piaoyang Company used the game character “Cang Huai 3” developed and operated by HoYoverse without authorization. This has created the main issue and initiated the infringement claim by the developers HoYoverse.
The game Honka Impact 3rd offers the players a chance to join Valkyries in the war against Honkai to save the fantastic Honkai-verse. The game is aimed to provide a Genshin Impact-styled companion action roleplay game and allows the players to customize the characters as per their needs and requirements. The game offers a unique storyline for players to access and explore.
